AND THE ANSWER THERE... THE DAILY DOUBLE

just this week i was saying to a few people that swimming up stream can make a MANN very tired. people always want something different and brilliant, but they never fail to approach everything in the same dull way. it's insanity really. doing the same thing over and over despite the same negative results every time. thing is, the insanity gets to you and makes you crazy too. suddenly you start to believe the hype and think that you're the crazy one. you start questioning your ideas and wondering if you should just be one of the hive. (HA! bee one of the hive. get it?) and for a moment, discarding your desire to make a difference or just do something different seems to make sense. who cares about hopes, dreams and good ideas. get that paper and live a life of few challenges.

but i've never been able to keep doing anything that didn't present me with a challenge. i tend to do things that i love and things that i believe in. however, recently i came to a point where i was ready to throw in the towel and just be "normal". just get the 9 to 5. just make that mortgage money. just put that new truck up on them 22s. just make that bar money. forget the risky way. just be safe. and i know a lot of that came from the fact that outside of the box is kinda lonely for the most part. nobody really tells you what to expect when you're outside of the box. after all, inside the box is where everybody is at... or so it seems. that's why this video posted by my good friend jermold seemed share-worthy. it's a nice reminder that taking a different approach is actually the sane move and there are other mad people out here that are just as sane as you.

"the bonuses always come." couldn't have answered the question better myself. because doing it the risky way doesn't mean doing it the poor and struggling way. it just means working hard, following through and swapping out time spent worrying where the money is going to come from for time spent creating opportunities that are worth money.

i don't want to say i'm sure my latest projects are going to work out, but i'll do them until they don't... because as MANN, i'm actually more concerned about saying i didn't try.
